The Pantaloons at School
We have developed our schools programme with the same sense of fun and interactivity that makes our shows so refreshingly different. Find out more below or contact us to make a booking.
"The Pantaloons are just what we English teachers need in school: Energetic, imaginative and really understanding about how to enliven Shakespeare. This lively young band of performers burst the Bard from the page and make the work fun! Particularly impressive is their ability to 'pitch' the activities at the level required and build the confidence of even the most reluctant student. Warmly recommended!"

Romeo and Juliet / Macbeth
Here's a fantastic opportunity for teachers to have The Pantaloons perform in their school hall. These one-hour versions of the Bard's brilliant tragedies, which have been specially created for schools, tell the classic stories in an engaging and accessible way using the original text, all the key characters and a cast of just three actors!
R and J and Macbeth will be touring schools in October 2011, are suitable for students at Key Stages 2, 3 or 4 and are extremely competitively priced. If you're a teacher interested in finding out more or booking the shows for your school, please contact us.
Workshops
We have developed exciting workshops for KS2 and KS3/4.
At KS2 our fun-packed Introduction to Shakespeare workshops can be tailored to include any of Shakespeare's plays and give kids a head-start with the Bard. The workshops include excercises that get kids on their feet, to bring Shakespeare's characters and language to life for themselves in a highly physical, easy-to-understand and memorable way.
At KS3/4 we work closely with the original texts to cover all key exam requirement areas. Our workshops take a uniquely playful approach to studying Shakespeare, exploring alternative performance styles that get students working as a team and thinking creatively as active participants to bring the themes, characters and language to life for themselves.
Please contact us for more information about our workshops or to make a booking.
What do teachers say?
"Absolutely fantastic! The Pantaloons made Shakespeare's plays completely meaningful through their clever use of drama activities and games with my Year 4 and 5 class. My class haven't stopped talking about it! We will definitely be booking them again."
White House Primary School, Hailsham
"Feedback from the kids was excellent - they'd really enjoyed the performance, as did the staff who managed to sneak in!"
St Benedict's RC School, Bury St Edmunds
"Excellent performance - we were not disappointed. The children particularly enjoyed the way you used comedy and there is plenty of discussion to be had about your version of the play."
Bacton Middle School, Bacton
"Thank you so much for the terrific performance. We host a lot of similar productions - but this one was done with real imagination and it really kept our Year 9 classes entertained."
